I love old cabins and homes. It gives me an idea of how things used to be, which was basically, hard… but now when we see homes intended to be accurate, we can enjoy them in a way the people who lived in them never got a chance to. This is the interior of a rustic cabin in South Park Village, Colorado, my favorite restored village. This one was a mining town at 10k feet, so you know that wood stove came in extra handy most of the year. I imagine a family sitting around the wood stove, listening to the only member of the family who can play piano, play dittys and saloon classics..but it was probably mostly likely hymns. Either way, they made the best of that room and worked hard, and now we get to enjoy what their hard work earned!
