This photo went unnoticed in my collection for the last year and was begging to be found today. I love taking photos of detailed plantlife, though I don’t always share them, and they aren’t my most popular photos. This one however, I thought, had a special feel about it, almost painterly as the background blends and blotches as only the bokeh of a lens can do. The details are almost glowing and there are moments of soft and sharp focus, both with a specific mood about them. I personally like the out of focus bits to match my mood today, sort of dreamy and unrefined, as I work through the day awaiting the weekend!
