I bought this old camera, a 1923 Kodak Vest Pocket Camera, on our last day in the UK. We were walking around Maidstone, meeting one of Ross’s highschool friends for lunch. A little antique shop tucked in an alley, full of ugly fur coats and old hats, but tucked in its shelves out of view were a few old cameras, this one being the most interesting and affordable. for $25 pounds I bought it, though I still haven’t bought any film for it I also plan to use it. Maybe for some simple scenery shots, something an old man like this can still handle.
Photo of the Day: Something Old and Awesome, My Kodak Vest Pocket CameraPosted on August 21, 2013
I have been buried deep in the grains of photography since I was a teenager, enthralled by nature and the details of life, desolated places, abandoned buildings and strange creatures. I started to travel in 2005, more and more until I was doing it full time, starting with a two week trip to Argentina that inspired me to move there for a year. From 2009 to 2018, 9 years, we traveled the U.S in an RV, working on our computers during the week and seeing everything we could on the weekends.
